I worked as tour manager & sound recordist for Richard’s touring version of his hit podcast.
We’d record 2 shows in each sitting (yes) and shows I worked on visited Brighton, York, Salford, Leeds, Exeter & many more, and featured interviews with the likes of Jimmy Cricket, Sarah Millican, Fern Brady, Dave Johns, Seymour Mace, Limmy, Nick Frost, Vic Reeves, Paul Sinha & Caroline Quentin.
Here’s a handful below, there’s far too many to list them all. They were – for the most part – all filmed too, and you can watch them all on Rich’s youtube channel, here.
The podcast continued at The Edinburgh Fringe, where Richard interviewed 2 guests a day at The Stand’s New Town Theatre.
These shows – unlike the majority of the London & Touring ones – weren’t being filmed, so Rich wanted to release them on the day of recording (or the following morning at the latest).
This meant I’d also be in charge of editing them, and uploading them to the podcast stream shortly after recording, usually done on the hop in an Edinburgh cafe somewhere, face down in a laptop with headphones fastened.
